6 is a Spiral

My husband, Daniel, asked me, “how long is this numerology thread showing up in your work?” It’s getting boring. Not his words, mine. I’m learning this season (5) where I stand. Where and stand are 5-letter words. This is Chapter 9 and there are three 9’s in my birthday.

The thing about the number 5, as you’ve all heard time and again, is that 4 represents divine balance and perfection. So… 5 is whatever is beyond perfection. Sounds chaotic and adventuresome. The number 5 is the step to chaos, the push out of the nest. That’s how we grow.

I felt humbled this year. I got rained out from my show at the beach (Siren Arts Residency summer 2025) and our AWARDS SHOW got postponed from all the oppressive ice (it was sill a smashing success a month later don’t fret). I felt vulnerable at my solo show, Bambi Loves You!, that came a week after Daniel and I sold our first true home here. We took a step beyond the known and left the nest we’d already built. And we did it to understand what a bit of chaos could inspire. We are creative people and we are inspired.

But enough about my hot, brilliant husband and back to me.

I, Bambi, learned from my grandmother, The Musician, that music and dance are free and you can always dance if you remember to listen to the music your god made for you. Now, I, Bambi don’t know your god, I barely know mine, but my grandmother was the only music teacher for 6 elementary schools in rural Arkansas for 30+ years. She believed that music and dance were meant to be shared with the most in need of their gifts, because she knew that music and dance were truly free to the individual. She taught others to sing and dance for their personal god(s).

haus of bambi’s current season (5 🖐️) means that we’re learning to dance to the music of necessary chaos. We’re dancing to honor ourselves and the nests we outgrew. But my hot husband, Danial asked “how long is this numerology thread showing up in your work?” so forget about numerology, look at the pen’s stroke that creates a number 6. This abstract rune, merely a spiral. That’s it. Six is a spiral. Up or down, it doesn’t matter. Let our graceful spiraling inspire each other still.
